Shipping, returns & warranty
Shipping price
I offer flat-rate shipping to keep things simple: free shipping for Croatia, 12€ for countries in EU , and 20€ for the rest of the world.
Shipping method
All orders are shipped via Croatia Post (Hrvatska pošta) with full tracking. Once the package enters your country, it is transferred to your national postal service for final delivery. This ensures a secure, reliable journey from my workshop to your door.
Do I get a tracking number?
Yes. As soon as I pack your pedal and create the shipping label, you will receive an automated email with your tracking number so you can follow its journey.
How long will it take to get my pedal?
I typically ship within 1–2 business days. Once dispatched, delivery usually takes 3–5 business days within the EU and 7–10 business days for the rest of the world.
Will I have to pay customs/import fees?
If you are ordering from outside the European Union, you may be subject to import duties or VAT depending on your country's regulations. These fees are the responsibility of the buyer.
What comes in the box with my pedal?
Every pedal I build is shipped with a hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity, a user manual, and its own protective cloth bag to keep the finish mint when it’s off your board. I want the unboxing experience to feel as premium as the engineering inside the circuit.
What is your warranty policy?
I stand behind my work with a 5-year warranty that stays with the pedal, regardless of whether you bought it from me or second-hand. If the pedal fails due to a component defect or an error on my bench, I will repair it free of charge.
I keep records of all sold pedals so there is no need for a purchase bill.
Please note: this warranty is void if the pedal shows any signs of internal alteration, modding, or damage caused by incorrect power supplies and physical abuse.
What should I do if my pedal needs a repair?
If you believe your pedal has a defect or needs service, please email me first with your serial number and a brief description of the issue. Often, we can troubleshoot the problem over email. If a repair is needed, I will provide you with the shipping instructions to my workshop.
Can I transfer my warranty if I sell the pedal?
Yes. I build these to last, so the 5-year warranty follows the pedal, not the owner. As long as the circuit remains in its original, unmodded state and the serial number is intact, I will honor the warranty for whoever owns it.
Do you offer repair services for pedals out of warranty?
Absolutely. If your pedal is older than 5 years and was damaged by accident, contact me for an affordable repair quote. I am committed to keeping my products functional for a lifetime.
What if I don't like the pedal?
I want you to love your tone. If the pedal isn't the right fit for your rig, I offer a 14-day return policy.
To qualify for a refund, the pedal must be returned in mint/original condition, including all original packaging and materials, with no signs of wear or velcro applied. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.
Power and technical details
What kind of power supply should I use?
All my pedals require a standard 9V DC center-negative power supply (Boss-style). To ensure the lowest noise floor and protect your signal, I highly recommend using a high-quality, isolated power supply.
Can I use a 12V or 18V power supply for more headroom?
Technically, yes. All of the internal components in my pedals are rated for those voltages, so you can safely power them with 12V or 18V without damaging the circuit. However, these pedals were originally designed for 9V use, and that is where I find they sound and perform their best.
What is the current draw (mA) of these pedals?
You can find the exact current draw (mA) specifications for each model on their respective product pages.
My pedal is making a weird noise. Is it broken?
90% of noise issues are caused by "daisy-chain" power supplies or faulty cables. Before reaching out, please test the pedal alone (Guitar > Pedal > Amp) using a fresh cable and a dedicated power brick.
Do these pedals take batteries?
In the interest of environmental sustainability and superior build quality, my pedals are designed for DC power only and do not include 9V battery clips.
Are your pedals True Bypass?
Yes. When the pedal is switched off, your signal passes directly through with zero coloration, ensuring your dry tone remains perfectly intact.
Are Overkill Effects pedals 'Bass Friendly'?
Yes! While designed with guitarists in mind, many of my circuits (like the V7) maintain excellent low-end response, making them a favorite for bassists looking for massive grit and sustain.
How do Overkill Effect pedals handle buffers?
My overdrives and fuzzes that are currently available are buffer-friendly and can go anywhere in your chain.
Are these just clones?
I don’t reinvent the wheel; I honor the circuits that defined music history. My pedals are inspired by legendary architectures, but rebuilt from the ground up with higher-spec components and industrial-grade assembly for a truly "overkill" standard of quality.
Do you offer custom builds or mods?
To maintain my strict assembly standards and keep lead times short, I do not offer custom circuit modifications or one-off builds at this time.
General
The pedal I want is sold out. When will it be restocked?
As a solo builder, I produce my pedals in small, focused batches to ensure the highest quality. If a model is sold out, I typically aim to have it restocked within one to two weeks. You can sign up for the newsletter on the product page to be the first to know when a new batch is ready.
Will there be any future releases?
Definitely. I am constantly at the bench prototyping new circuits and refining classic architectures. I have several new releases planned for the coming months. To see what’s currently on the workbench and get announcements for new models, the best way is to follow me on social media.
I’m a content creator/reviewer. Can we work together?
I love seeing what the gear community can do with my circuits! I am always looking for talented demo artists, YouTubers, and photographers to collaborate with. If you have a channel or a platform, regardless of size, and you think your style fits the Overkill Effects aesthetic, please get in touch via the contact form!
Where can I try your pedals before I buy one?
Since I sell directly from my workshop to you, I don't currently have a traditional retail storefront. However, I stand behind my work with a 14-day return policy, this allows you to test the pedal in your own rig, with your own guitar and amp, which is the best way to see if it’s the right fit for your sound.
Where can I buy Overkill Effects pedals?
Currently, the only way to buy a brand-new Overkill pedal is directly through this website. By buying direct, you are supporting my workshop directly and ensuring you get the most up-to-date version of every circuit.
What kind of components do you use?
I don't compromise on build quality. Every pedal features genuine Lumberg jacks (made in Japan), Alpha potentiometers, and high-quality Vishay capacitors and resistors for superior signal purity. I also use a smooth-action footswitch for silent, effortless switching. Internally, everything is neatly connected with vintage cloth wire, with the layout optimized for minimal interference and the shortest possible signal paths from point to point.
